We just wrapped an episode on biking and got all revved up over the potential that still lies within an old rusty bike. Read the rest of this entry →

after a long day of shooting

August 16, 2012 in Michele's Blog

Another season is in full swing and the shoots have been absolutely awesome…so excited to share where we’ve been, who we’ve met and what we’ve been up to….some really, really good shows roll out soon.

We put another work day to bed in true b. organic style…enjoying the outdoors, refreshing beverages, and all the kids are let out to play.

build -a- coop

The coop your chickens call home should do two things:  protect them (from the elements and predators) and give them a cozy place to roost and lay their eggs.

growing

August 12, 2012 in Michele's Blog

I can’t think of a better reason to garden….

and to garden organically

the kids can freely try one of these

and one of those

and another one of these

straight from the plants

no worries.

children love being in the garden and harvesting is the most fun of all…

the hunt, the colors, the pick, the taste….so exciting

they’re experiencing where their food comes from

they’re learning how they can naturally grow it themselves

and they’re acquiring a taste for all kinds of vegetables

cheers to watching your kids grow in the garden!

Flown the Coop

August 2, 2012 in Michele's Blog

Never imagined just how much fun these chicks would be.

You can easily get caught up in sitting around watching them (for hours, if you had the time)

  • The noises they make.
  • The way they all interact.
  • The dirt baths.
  • The chases they have.
  • The snuggle pile all 25 of them do together.
  • The way they take flight.

They sure are happy little souls.

Pure entertainment, I tell ya!

They’re growing fast and they’ve just recently been let out of the coop to roam freely in the run.  (you’d think they’d all be running to the door to get out, but they seem to be homebodies and we really have to coerce them ‘out of the house’)

They’ll get the run of the yard when they’re full grown.

For now, they’re perfectly content in the run.

The girls are quite smitten with their new feathered friends.

Cheers to the happy little chicken.
